Azret Deljanin
Technology & Operations Executive
I build teams and lead the technology behind high-stakes financial platforms. I’m currently SVP, Enterprise Technology and Security at Advisor360. With 15+ years of executive leadership across fintech and financial institutions, I connect engineering, security, and operations to business outcomes: dependable systems, disciplined spending, and organizations that can execute.
Track Record & Impact
- Crisis Leadership: Managed operational recovery across 25,000+ accounts during major partner platform failures, recovering 99%+ of at-risk investor assets.
- M&A Optimization: Re-engineered post-acquisition technology architectures (including Cadre), cutting $1M+ in annual OpEx through platform and vendor consolidation.
- Institutional Governance: Built security programs from the ground up, achieving SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications.
- Leadership Experience: Currently SVP, Enterprise Technology and Security at Advisor360. Previously CTO, Head of Financial Operations, and SVP of Infrastructure & Security at Willow Wealth (formerly Yieldstreet), with earlier infrastructure leadership roles at Northwestern Mutual and LearnVest.
Core Focus Areas
- Technology & Engineering Leadership: Building global teams, setting technical direction, and delivering multi-year modernization programs.
- Platform Architecture & Operations: Scaling cloud infrastructure, improving reliability, and bringing financial discipline to technology decisions.
- Security & Institutional Governance: Building security programs and operating effectively in regulated financial environments.
- Transformation & Integration: Connecting technology and financial operations, unifying acquired platforms, and simplifying complex organizations.
From Infrastructure to the Executive Table
My career has taken me from global data center and storage operations to executive leadership across technology, security, and financial operations. At Willow Wealth, formerly Yieldstreet, I served as CTO, Head of Financial Operations, and SVP of Infrastructure & Security.
Before that, I held infrastructure leadership roles at Northwestern Mutual and LearnVest, including leading integration and modernization following Northwestern Mutual’s acquisition of LearnVest. Earlier in my career, I led operations at INAP following its acquisition of Voxel dot Net.
How I Lead
Technology leadership means setting a direction people can execute. I’ve built and led engineering, data, and security organizations across four continents, bringing technical priorities and operating decisions into the same conversation.
I care about making the tradeoffs clear, giving teams ownership, and connecting the work to outcomes the business can measure. Architecture matters, but so do the people running it, the workflows around it, and the business depending on it.
NYC Roots. New Jersey Home.
I’m a New York City native and a father of three, now based in River Vale, New Jersey. This site is a place for both sides of my life: the professional work and the person behind it.
What Interests Me
- Site Reliability Engineering: What it takes to build and operate systems people can depend on.
- Cybersecurity: Protecting systems and information while keeping the organization moving.
- Data Centers: The physical infrastructure behind the services we rely on.
- Networking: The connections, protocols, and architecture that make everything work together.
I also follow practical uses of AI in engineering and operations, with an interest in where it proves useful.
